S3IP has built a strong foundation in analytical and diagnostics expertise for use by academic and industrial researchers. The Analytical and Diagnostics Laboratory (ADL), is staffed by a Laboratory Director, and Ph.D.-level Research Scientists. Facilities also include a Nanofabrication Laboratory (NLAB) which provides the capability to fabricate nanostructures using a combination of physical vapor deposition, lithography, and etching, and laboratories that enable rigorous and replicable testing of new technologies, and for performing physical, chemical, surface and electronic analysis of products and materials.
