S3IP is developing new areas of expertise in autonomous solar power. The Center for Autonomous Solar Power (CASP) is researching new large area, flexible, light weight solar cells to meet scientific challenges in reducing the cost of solar power and enhancing energy efficiency. CASP will bridge the technology and commercialization gap and overcomes impediments in large scale expansion of solar electricity.
