The Scholars Program is a selective all-university four-year honors program for students of exceptional merit. These students take small classes together with an emphasis on collaborative hands-on research, technology, foreign-language skills and leadership.
The program is rapidly expanding and includes academic expectations, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
Each year, Binghamton University invites over 120 freshmen to join the Binghamton Scholars Program,which provides high-achieving students with:
- a shared learning experience in an intellectually stimulating and challenging program of studies.
- high-level research and computer skills.
- communication skills -- both spoken and written.
- collaborative learning experiences in project-centered Scholars courses.
- experiential learning venues, both on and off the Binghamton campus.
- extracurricular activities that connect Binghamton Scholars to faculty and graduate students across the University.
- opportunities to showcase their best academic work and forge connections between education and career.
- the opportunity to earn "All-University Honors" and/or "Binghamton Scholars" recognition upon graduation.
