External Scholarships, Fellowships
and Awards

The Office of External Scholarships, Fellowships and Awards works with undergraduate and graduate students to identify funding opportunities and then assists them during the application process. The majority of these opportunities are funded by private foundations or federal sources and often involve a lengthy application process. They are awarded on the basis of broad-based competition among applicants nationwide, not just among Binghamton students.Scholarships and fellowships come in all types and sizes, ranging from the widely recognized Rhodes Scholarship to opportunities for funded summer internships.

The Scholarship Links on this site will enable you to review information on scholarships, summer opportunities, dissertation support, research support, and post-graduation opportunities. If you would like to explore additional opportunities that may be available or would like to discuss the opportunities listed here, please fill out the Student Profile Form on this site. The information on the form will help initiate a dialogue as we work together to identify funding opportunities for you.

Please note that campus-based undergraduate scholarships and some graduate fellowships are available to you as a Binghamton University student. Information on these awards for undergraduates can be found at the Office of Financial Aid Services. Graduate students should go to the Graduate School financial information page.
