America Reads/Counts Challenge Programs At Binghamton University


What?

Federal funding for Graduate Work Study Assistantships. An opportunity to tutor elementary school children in area schools or provide literacy or math services in local schools to families (10 hrs. a week).

Who Qualifies?

Any fulltime matriculated graduate student enrolled both semesters, 2009-2010, in any BU department.

Why?

Experience the satisfaction of having a positive impact on young struggling readers and math students as you improve their literacy and math skills. Receive approximately $4060 per year.

Complete the FAFSA Form & Work Study Application form on line.

You MUST be eligible for Federal College Graduate Work Study funding. The Student Financial Aid office will determine if you qualify for funding. Your student loan(s) may be adjusted with your approval to accomodate your participation in this program.
