The School of Management encourages MBA and MS Accounting students to undertake well structured internship experiences and facilitates the process through the SOM Graduate Advising Office. Students may pursue internships in a variety of ways.
The School of Management maintains an online database of internship opportunities. These are largely local positions with some NYC area positions in the Summer session. Students are also advised to check with the Career Development Center to research national programs and to connect with recruiters who often interview for summer pre-professional programs. Students wishing to obtain an internship outside of the Binghamton area may inquire directly with companies in which they have an interest.
For-credit Internships. Students interested in registering for a for-credit internship must review and follow instructions contained in the SOM's Guidelines (../mba/guidelines) pertaining to for-credit internships.
International Students, generally, may also participate in the SOM Internship Program. However, they first must complete additional paperwork and advising from the Office of International Student and Scholar Services.
