This spring, the ISE softball team (Shamu) won the very competitive intramural fastpitch-softball championship. The ISE team of one freshman, two sophomores, four juniors, four seniors and one faculty member was granted top seed in the single-elimination tournament of 12 teams for going undefeated during regular season play (3-0). Shamu won its first two games 9-4 and 20-0 to enter the championship game. After falling behind 3-0, the ISE team held together for 5 runs to win a very intense championship game 5-3.
