Student Affairs Spotlight

The Staff Development Committee is pleased to announce the creation of a new recognition program for the Division of Student Affairs.  The Spotlight can be awarded for:

-new innovations
-an individual's work on campus and/or beyond campus (notable regional/national work)
-interdepartmental programs
-cross-divisional programs

Each month, a person, program or department will be selected by the Committee based on nominations from within the Division.  Nominations should include at least one letter of support and provide examples of the exceptional work deserving of the award.  Letters of nomination should be sent via email to Sara Ballard along with the following information:

-nominator's name & department
-nominee's name(s) & department(s) - if nominating a program, please list all staff involved

The Committee continually accepts nominations, so there are no deadlines. The Committee will discuss nominations on a regular basis and when a recipient is chosen, the nominator will be called to discuss when and where to acknowledge the recipient. The Vice President and members of the Committee will present the recognition items, which include a certificate and a "goodie cup."

We encourage nominations because we know there are many deserving people out there doing excellent work every day on our campus. Thank you!
