The mission of the Office of Student Conduct is to support the mission of both the University and the Division of Student Affairs. Specifically, the Office of Student Conduct seeks to work collaboratively with other departments to create a safe, secure, and civil environment where learning, growth and development can take place both inside and outside of the classroom.
To this end, the Student Conduct Office has three overarching responsibilities:
The Sanctioning Guidelines (.pdf) were developed to provide some general consistency to the various conduct boards to use in determining appropriate sanctions.
An important element of a comprehensive campus conduct system is a student's ability to seek redress of decisions made as a consequence of the process.
