Marty Wygmans is the Project Director for TRiO Programs at Binghamton University. She oversees the university's Student Support Services, Upward Bound and Veterans Services programs. As part of her duties she writes the grant proposals which fund Upward Bound and Student Support Services. Additionally, she supervises staff, handles budgetary matters, and ensures compliance with federal regulations. Marty also served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Equality and Excellence in Education. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Master of Arts in Agency Counseling. She is working on her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration.
Ken Roon is the Assistant Director and an Academic Counselor for Student Support Services at Binghamton University. He provides academic, personal and career counseling to students. He also teaches classes for the Comparative Literature department and supplemental writing classes for the Binghamton Writing Initiative. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Communication and Master of Arts in Comparative Literature. He is working on his Doctor of Philosophy in Comparative Literature.
Judy Pranger is the Senior Academic Counselor for Student Support Services at Binghamton University. She provides academic, personal and career counseling to students. She has worked as an Academic Counselor at the university for the last nineteen years. She has a Bachelors Degree in Economics and a Masters Degree in Adult Education.
Steve Rebello is the Math/Science Academic Counselor for Student Support Services under the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) grant at Binghamton University. He provides academic, personal, and career counseling, as well as tutoring in a number of Biology courses. He is also an instructor for supplemental biology courses and First Year Experience courses. Steve was a high school and middle school Biology teacher before he came to Binghamton University. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology Education and a Master of Science in Outdoor and Environmental Education.
Marissa Zelman is an Academic Counselor for Student Support Services at Binghamton University. She provides academic, personal and career counseling. She is also an instructor for Students in Transition and classes for the Writing Initiative. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
Cindy Kery is Assistant Director for Administrative Services of TRiO Programs at Binghamton University. A former Upward Bound student, she began working part-time for TRiO in 1976. Cindy is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the TRiO Office. This includes student tracking, federal reporting, room reservations and paperwork such as applications, consent forms and stipends. She also handles Veteran Services paperwork. She has a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies and a Master of Arts in Social Science.
Ben Smith is the Tutoring Coordinator for Student Support Services at Binghamton University. He coordinates and provides tutoring and supplemental instruction in math and the sciences as well as academic, personal, and career counseling to students. As a former TRiO Talent Search student, Ben's personal experience allows for a unique and personal approach to working with SSS students. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and is currently working on his Master of Science in Mathematics.
Nancy Wiseman is the Administrative Assistant for TRiO Programs at Binghamton University. She provides administrative support for the rest of the TRiO staff. This includes dealing with paperwork, document tracking, and student contact. She also schedules meetings, organizes events and assists with the development of reports required by the U.S. Department of Education.
