Career Development

Binghamton University's Career Development Center (CDC) provides a broad range of services and resources to help undergraduate and graduate students develop the skills and competencies they need for career success in a global economy.

Job and Internshhip Fairs

Job and internship fairs are regularly held on the Binghamton University campus. Sponsored by the University's Career Development Center (CDC) -- the fairs help employers connect with Binghamton’s motivated and diverse student population to discuss full-time, internship and co-op opportunities. About 1,500 students, representing all majors and class years, participated in last spring's fair.

Decker School of Nursing

Binghamton’s Decker School of Nursing plays a key role in the health and well-being of the Southern Tier and beyond. Its academic programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels are helping prepare New York state’s nursing professionals. The school has clinical affiliations with 400 hospitals and other healthcare organizations, ranging from hospitals in Binghamton and Johnson City to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira and the Delaware County Public Nursing Service.

Binghamton Graduates

Graduates of Binghamton University’s School of Education consistently have a 100 percent pass rate on the New York State Teacher Certification examinations. Binghamton’s teacher-preparation programs are nationally accredited through the Teacher Education Accreditation Council and approved for New York state certification or endorsement.

Small Scale Systems

Binghamton University’s Small Scale Systems Integration and Packaging Center (S3Ip) conducts high impact research that support the translation of economically significant microelectronic innovations to United States industry. S3IP is a proven innovation leader and since 1996, has generated more than $800 million in economic impact and 1,556 in new and retained jobs in New York state.
