Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

Exam Date: April 13, 2013

Location:  Syracuse area

However, some of the information is outdated now and you can ignore the part about Form 2 if you are registering during the 2 days the Watson School has their FE Sign-up Sessions in October.  If you are registering any other time of the year, then you will need to complete the Form 2 and submit 2 copies as mentioned in the video.

The FE Exam will be April 13, 2013!

To register for the FE Exam, students need to fill out ONE COPY of Form 1 (along with a $70 check made out to the New York State Department of Education)

Form 2 is not needed if you are registering during this sign-up session at BU.

Instructions for FORM 1

*Please note that all Form 1's must be notarized by a Notary Public. For the convenience of Watson students, a Notary Public will be available each October to assist students in the sign-up process for the April exam.

FORM 2 (.pdf, 25kb) is only needed if you are submitting Form 1 directly to NYS Education Department on your own.  Then you will need to stop by the Watson Associate Dean's Office (room ES-1422B) to submit 2 copies of Form 2.

Additional information regarding the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam can be found from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).  It is the NCEES that creates the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.  This site will provide you with study guides, example test questions, and other helpful information. 

Important: The NCEES only allows certain calculators in the FE Exam.  This is strictly enforced.
The NCEES updates their list of calculators by November 15 each year.
