Mini Baja

The Baja SAE competition – first introduced in 1976 by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) – requires students to design and build an off-road all terrain vehicle. The objective of the competition is to simulate all aspects of a real world engineering design project. Each team is provided a 10-HP Briggs & Stratton engine, which is not to be altered.

The 2009-2010 Binghamton University team comprised of eight mechanical engineering seniors: team captain Kyle O’Connor, Kevin Burriesci, Joseph Pericone, Daniel Bentley, Anthony Banker, Samson Ng, Matthew Severini and Assad Tabatabaie. Their advisor, Bruce Murray, is a professor of mechanical engineering.
