The main Watson School Advising Office, located on the ground floor of the library, LSG-552, provides basic advising services for undergraduate students. The professional advisers, peer advisers and office secretary are all committed to helping you understand the University system.

With this solid foundation, the Watson School approach to student advising assures maximum potential for students to seek needed assistance from a variety of knowledgeable sources.

Professional advisers are available to assist you with any special concern. Remember that no question or concern is unimportant, and that seeking accurate information and assistance is a valuable part of your academic experience.

The Watson School has a two-tiered advising structure, with faculty serving as the primary program advisers and the Watson Advising Office staff providing school and University-wide information and addressing various other advising and referral issues. Computer science freshmen are advised by their department's program coordinator in addition to being assigned to an individual faculty adviser in their program. Engineering freshmen connect with the Engineering Design Division (EDD) director along with additional EDD faculty during their first year in the Watson School. Upon official entry into their selected department of major, all rising sophomores, along with sophomore and junior transfer students, are assigned to a faculty adviser in their department. Additionally, each engineering department has an undergraduate director available for any advising questions.
