Professional Bio
Lijun Yin joined the Department of Computer Science at Binghamton University in September 2001. He received PhD from the University of Alberta, Canada in Computing Science. Before he joined Binghamton, he did his post-doc fellowship at the University of Alberta, and worked at Chyron Corp. in Long Island, N.Y. and InfiMed Inc. in Syracuse, N.Y. as a computer graphics and image scientist. His research interests include computer vision, graphics and image processing. Yin served as a program committee member for a number of IEEE international conferences and a panelist for NSF. He is a now an associate professor and the director of the Graphics and Image Computing (GAIC) Laboratory. His research is supported by the National Science Foundation; the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR); the Air Force Research Lab; and SUNY Upstate Medical Center. He has over 50 publications in refereed journals and conferences.
