"Become addicted to learning," 78-year-old Vestal resident, Kishen Kapur, said. "Learning is what makes the difference in life." Kapur is following his own advice. On May 16, 2009, more than a half-century after earning his master's degrees, he received his doctorate in electrical engineering from Binghamton University.
As electrical and computer engineers, our research and teaching revolve around electrical components, circuits and systems, as well as microprocessors, software and hardware. But what we really do is improve electronic and computer systems to make your life easier - and teach students to do the same.
We design wireless and fiber optic systems to improve telecommunications, consumer electronics and medical imaging systems. We also analyze and design software and hardware to integrate into larger systems. We're changing your world.
Our students can earn degrees in both electrical or computer engineering at the undergraduate and master's levels, or a doctorate in electrical engineering.
Plus, we're good at teamwork. Check us out.
