Mission Statement

• The Engineering Design Division (EDD) Freshman Engineering Program is dedicated to providing outstanding educational opportunities for engineering freshmen to prepare them for entry into one of the engineering disciplines offered in The Watson School.
   
• The program strives to provide freshman engineering students with a solid foundation of core engineering, oral and written communication, teamwork, and research skills.
   
• It accomplishes this by providing exciting design projects, a stimulating laboratory experience, and informative lectures presented by Watson School faculty and engineers from local industry.
  
  
• A core value of our program is frequent interaction between students and faculty to help students make a successful transition from high school to their chosen career.
