Putting mechanical engineers and fine arts students together on a team project to create a sculpture and it's difficult to predict what the outcome will be. At Binghamton, the outcome is an interactive sculpture that will have a permanent home on campus.
The freshman engineering program in the Engineering Design Division is recognized for its unique format. Our program offers opportunities for students to explore the many facets of engineering, through participation in engineering projects, student organizations, clubs, honor and professional societies, and engineering communities, in an atmosphere that promotes faculty and student interaction, with personalized attention in small classroom and lab settings.
