The senior design course at Binghamton University's Watson School of Engineering offers students a unique challenge. Work as a team to design, build and test a supermileage car.

The Watson School's definition of an engineer:
en⋅gi⋅neer [en-juh-neer]: a person who works with others to solve problems through design and creation of original, forward-looking products
Focusing on your transition from high school to a successful freshman year in college, our Engineering Design Division will open your eyes to what it's really like to train as an engineer. You'll work in small groups, get hands-on laboratory experience in all of the Watson School's engineering disciplines and even complete a "reverse engineering" project.
With plenty of faculty support, plus graduate and undergraduate students to help out, you'll get a taste of the different engineering disciplines before confirming your what path to take your sophomore year - Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering.
