Laboratory of Optical and Fluidic Technologies
Undergraduate and Graduate Research Assistant Positions
Dr. Peter Huang is actively recruiting enthusiastic and capable undergraduate and graduate students to join his research group to work on exciting projects in the interface of micro/nanofludics, optics and biomedical engineering. Potential projects include optical sensing techniques and microscopy, micro- and nanoscale mass transport, lab-on-a-chip systems for biomedical applications, biologically-inspired mechanical systems, and detection and manipulations of cancer cells and bacteria. Students will have hands-on learning experience in micro-fabrication, experimental techniques and quantitative thinking development in both theoretical modeling and data analysis. Interested persons with science (biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics) and engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical, materials, computer science) experience are encouraged to contact Dr. Huang (phuang@binghamton.edu) with their curriculum vitae and statements of interests. Full financial support is available for outstanding graduate scholars.
